Accra
Rehabitation Centre is a ghanaian governmental institution
established in 1962 to train young persons (men)
with disabilities in employable skills.
Since the inception of the Centre,
the Centre has trained eight hundred (800) people with
disablilties and training is still on going.
It is a boarding Institution
where persons with disabilities live and are fed
three times a day.

The aim of the Centre is to
train all categories of persons with disabilities
to make fullest possible use of their capabilities.

By giving them sufficient employable skills
training to enable them earn their living
and also contribute their quota towards National
Development.

To provide them with daily living skills/
Medical care.
MODE OF ADMISSION TO THE ACCRA REHABILITATION CENTRE
Anybody with disability who intends to train at the Centre should first and foremost contact the nearest social welfare office. The field officers will conduct an investigation into the person's background and write Social Investigation Report together with some other documents and forward it to the Regional Office. The Regional Office on the other hand will compile all the reports and then forward them to the Centre for admission. The Centre finally conducts an interview and admits only those who pass the interview for training.
